520 Front Sprocket - 16T Made from Hard Chromoly Steel! NOT Case Hardened! These sprockets are LIGHT, and they are made to LAST! Machined here at Formula390, they are like a jewel! Machined for racing application, tho you can use them on the street as well. Machined with Titanium Carbide tooling (HSS and Cobalt just doesn't hold up against this SUPER hard material) they are craften here in house, one at a time, for the RC390 Racing Community. Every aspect of the design of these parts is with an eye towards the racer, not fabrication. What does that mean, it means that it takes a LONG time to make each sprocket. Over an hour! The transition to the teeth is rounded, instead of stepped, the tolerances are INCREDIBLY tight! The spline to match the countershaft is TIGHT! That means no excess wear on your countershaft, but again, time consuming. The threads for the retention clip are form tapped, not cut. This is the strongest thread you can make, but requires specialized tooling and can only be machined in a machining center. All of this combined means a sprocket which is light, strong, tight tolerances, and a lot of attention to the details!
